Community Calendar Hard Hat Breakfast

FAIRMONT - Habitat for Humanity of Martin and Faribault Counties is hosting their fundraiser, 'Hard Hat Breakfast', on Thursday, January 19 from 6:45 to 8AM at the Red Rock Center in Fairmont.

Charter Bus to St. Paul March For Life

MANKATO TO ST. PAUL - A charter bus will be available to those wishing to attend the annual MCCL "March For Life" in St. Paul on Sunday, January 22. Caring for those with Dementia

BLUE EARTH - Interfaith Caregivers will offer 'Caring for those with Dementia" on the Fourth Tuesday of every month. This month's meeting will be on Tuesday, January 24 at 10AM at the Interfaith Caregivers office in Blue Earth.

WELLS - The Better Way - Five Sisters Project, in Wells, will sponsor a free presentation of the documentary, "Nefarious: Merchant of Souls", a film about commercial sexual exploitation, at 6:30PM on Thursday, January 26 at the Flame Theatre in Wells.  You may call 507-380-3365 with any questions.

Dell's Scandinavian Smorgasbord!

FROST - Dell Lutheran Church, of rural Frost, will have their 35th Annual Scandinavian Smorgasbord and Bake Sale on Sunday, February 5.  Please note the new serving time from 11AM to 3PM.  All smorgasbord proceeds support Mission Projects.

IF Gathering

BLUE EARTH - Habitat for Humanity has started a fundraising and awareness campaign, 'Get on the BEAM', which provides churches, VBS groups, businesses, or any public place an actual 2' by 4' beam to display.  When people donate any amount of money in the cup provided, they can sign their name on the beam and the beam will then be used in the construction of a 'Habitat' home.  For more information you can call Staci at 507-526-2500.

MANKATO - Mankato's nonprofit, LEEP (Leisure Education for Exceptional People), is looking for volunteer coaches for their Unified teams, which combines athletes with and without disabilities on the same team. FAIRMONT/BLUE EARTH - Interfaith Caregivers offer two Parkinson's Support Groups each month. The Fairmont group meets the last Thursday of the month at 10:30 at Grace Lutheran Church and the Blue Earth group gather at the Ag Center Conference Room every 3rd Wednesday at 1:30PM.

ALBERT LEA - Ruby's Pantry Food Distribution is held at the Assemby of God Church in Albert Lea on the 1st Saturday of each month.  Doors open at 9:30 and distribution is from 10 to 11:30AM.

NORTH MANKATO - Grandparents and relatives raising children meet the 2nd Thursday of every month at New Creation World Outreach Church in North Mankato from 6 to 7:30PM. A family style meal is served as well as a free daycare provided. You can contact Kelijo (Kelly Jo) at 507-380-7210 to let them know you will be attending so the meal and daycare can be planned.
