Today's Word of the Lord

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?" Matthew 7:15, 16

I gave my life to the Lord when I was eight or nine years old. After a meeting at our church, I knelt beside my bed at home, and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. During my late teens and early twenties I made some decisions that did not honor God, but at age 26 I rededicated my life to follow Him. Since then, life has had its challenges, but I have been making steady progress in my spiritual journey.

I’ve lived in Minnesota most of my life, moving to Fairmont with my family in 1968. I have wonderful memories of my youth, spending time with friends and family. Throughout high school I was very involved in sports and during the summer, spent many hours on the lakes in Fairmont.

After high school I spent some time in college and vocational school. I worked in Fairmont for about 12 years, mainly in the office supply business, before going back to college to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Mankato.

While in college, I began my radio career as a weekend announcer for KJLY. After getting married in 1990, and graduating from college in 1993, the Lord moved our family to Eagle Grove, Iowa, where I was the Operations Manager at KJYL. In August of 2000 we moved to Gaylord, Michigan where I spent three years with another Christian station. The Lord moved us back to the Blue Earth area in 2003 where I've been involved in various aspects of the ministry of KJLY.

We are all God's ambassadors, and we need to be doing Kingdom work. I encourage you to shine your light for Christ!
