This Sunday, May 11, is Mother's Day. 

All of us at KJLY send a wish to all Mothers for a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Be sure to tune in this weekend for special programming... At 2PM on Friday, May 10 KJLY will air the program from Family Life Today, "A Mother's Hope" for mothers who want to leave a legacy.  On Sunday, Mother's Day at 4PM, "The Perfect Mom" with Elizabeth George, will encourage moms to be a "Mom after God's Own Heart".

It's not often that we have the opportunity to hear a nationally known comedian in person.  But, we're pleased to share the news that Ken Davis is going to be in Garden City, MN for a comedy concert on Saturday, May 17th at 7 PM at the Sir Henry Wellcome Auditorium.  (So, where is Garden City?  About 15 miles south of Mankato on Highway 169!).  While KJLY is not sponsoring the concert we are helping to let people know that he will be appearing through the efforts of the Garden City "C.H.I.E.F.S."  Tickets are $15 in advance and are available at the KJLY studios or on-line at www.KenDavis.com .  Group discounts are also available but for group tickets you'll have to go on-line!

Here We Grow Again?  I know it's sappy.  On top of that...it's been used before for just about every grand opening and expansion since time began.  But, hey...it's late and I've already used "Another Baby in the Family" which is prettly lame, too.  However,  I digress...What I really want to share with you is the progress we are making on the fifth full power station in the KJLY/Kinship Christian Radio family.  We are just about set to begin construction on the tower located near Jeffers, MN for "KJWR" which is a 25,000 watt station licensed to Windom, MN.  According to our studies and engineering maps, KJWR should bring the unique Kinship Christian Radio ministry to a large section of Southwest Minnesota and as far north to within 25-50 mies west and south of the Minneapolis metro area.  I'll keep you posted on developments (we hope to be on the air with KJWR by early to mid June at the KJWR frequency of 90.9 FM )  And if you can tell me what KJWR is an acronym for, I'll give you....hmmm...what will I give you?  Well, I'll figure that out later but be sure to send your B.A.G.
